History of Nemoto Group
Since the establishment of the sensor business in 1978, the Nemoto Group has been aiming to become the world's No. 1 company with unique technologies and products that are world-class.
It is still the same, and we are developing our business with the aim of continuing to be a “Global Niche Top Company”.
Here, we will trace the transition of Nemoto, which has been the highlight of the past.
1978
Born as Nemoto Special Chemical Sensor Division
Developed and started selling the ionized smoke sensor NIS-09 as the Nemoto Special Chemical Sensor Division.With this product as the starting point, our progress has begun.
1979
Obtained UL1484 certification for an alarm equipped with a contact combustion type gas sensor
1980
World-renowned technological innovation
By succeeding in developing the world's first sensor that integrates a detection element and a compensation element, we have demonstrated our technological capabilities and have decided to use our products in various fields.

With the establishment of Shanghai Genben Huaqing Co., Ltd. in Shanghai, China, the Nemoto Group's gas sensor business has expanded overseas.Taking this opportunity, we have made it possible to produce products with technologies that can be used overseas.
1993
Developed and started sales of NAP-2A and NAP-3A as small types of NAP-55A and NAP-66A due to the thinning of gas leak alarms.
1994
Established Shanghai Genben Huaqing Co., Ltd. in Shanghai, China

Shanghai Momonoura Factory completed in Shanghai, China
Started production of ionized sensor NIS-09

Developed NAP-50A as an alcohol sensitivity reduction type, installed in city gas alarms

Developed incomplete combustion detection sensor NAP-78A in combustion exhaust gas and installed in gas water heater

Developed all 5 types of contact combustion type sensors and started selling as NAP-100 series for business use

Developed NAP-56A and NAP-67A as highly reliable types of conventional contact combustion type sensors
Developed and started sales of NHS-20, a polymer film resistance type humidity sensor with improved measurement accuracy in high humidity, and NHS-25, a highly durable product with dew condensation.
2006
Developed and started selling the industrial electrochemical nitrogen dioxide sensor NE-NO2
Developed and started selling the industrial electrochemical ammonia sensor NE-NH3
Developed NSU-131A and NSU-131AF for fuel cell gas leak detection and installed in fuel cells
2007
Developed NSU-131AR, a sensor unit for detecting gasoline volatile components, and installed it in a water heater.
Developed NIS-02C with improved radiation dose below the specified value due to the revision of the Radiation Hazard Prevention Law.
2008
Birth of Nemoto Sensor Engineering
Due to business expansion, the sensor business was spun off from Nemoto & Co., Ltd., and Nemoto Sensor Engineering Co., Ltd. was newly established.
2009
Developed and started sales of the industrial electrochemical nitric oxide sensor NE-NO.
Developed the breath CO monitor BC-711M, received approval and permission as a medical device, and started selling it.
2010
To establish the Nemoto brand
We are building a foundation to create competitive and innovative products.

Started production of electrochemical sensor NAP-505 at Longgang Nemoto Precision Machining Factory in Shenzhen, China
Developed and started sales of NAP-52A, a contact combustion type combustible gas sensor for consumer use.
2016
Established Nemoto Luminous Processing (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. in Baoan-ku, Shenzhen, China
